Our Mission
To educate women and vulnerable youth by developing basic workforce and social skills, social justice, civic education programs and health education to help raise life expectancy and encourage self-esteem and productivity thereby reducing the rate of violence and crime in Benue State. It has been proven that educated women create a more stable community by offering their adolescent children security at home even in times of violence and civil unrest.
To dig water wells for clean potable water, sanitation, hygiene, and health by helping the Agbatala, Kohov, Vandeikya, Agidi, Kohov West and Mbwer/Ahundu communities in Nigeria acquire and maintain good sanitation, hygiene, and potable water. Most communities have no clean water or toilets and have no healthy source of drinking water within miles.
To combat malaria in Nigeria. Malaria is a risk for 97% of Nigeria’s population (USEmbassy.gov). In addition to digging water wells, the REV. SIMEON’S COMMUNITY SERVICE FUND has been providing financing for mosquito nets to protect pregnant women and nursing mothers from the insects that cause this deadly disease.
